Dear Blue Star Connection Staff,

Thank you does not seem to be enough to tell you how much we appreciate your
generous donation here at Dell Children’s Medical Center. I am positive that the
equipment that was donated will be put to use quite frequently and that many children
and families will benefit from the use of the instruments. We have already set up one
of the keyboards in our teen room for the use of the many teens here at the hospital.
Additionally, I am anticipating the excitement these children will experience when they
are given the ability to play on an electric guitar in their room. I can see the smiles
already!

I knew that Blue Star Connection was generous when we first began communicating,
but then Don and Randy showed up with a HUGE load of beautiful instruments and
my jaw dropped. I am looking forward to the many jam sessions, individual sessions,
drum circles, and other music experiences that I will be able to share with the patients
here at Dell Children’s. These gifts will be used to help children BE children here at the
hospital. They will be able to choose a preferred instrument, learn how to use music as
a coping strategy, express themselves in song, engage with other patients during group
music experiences, and have some fun during their stay here at the hospital.

Thank you again for you generosity and for supporting the field of music therapy. As I
said before, thank you does not seem enough.
