Delynne

After the night of January 5th, my views towards life changed drastically. This is a story of God’s amazing love.
I was 14 when the tumor in my brain hemorrhaged and I collapsed while filming my team’s basketball game. Since I just had braces put on, it was thought that I was faint from a lack of nourishment. Later at the hospital, my parents were informed I had a large mass in my brain which they found out was called a medullobastoma.
Five days after being air lifted to the big hospital, they were finally able to operate and remove all the tumor. I remained in a coma for 20 days. The doctors didn’t give me a chance. However, through prayer and Gods healing, I woke up to my dad and his friend being goofy. So I woke up laughing. After that, I had a year of radiation and chemo which at times felt impossible to get through but now, two years after my diagnosis, I spend my days pursuing rehabilitation so I will regain the ability to walk and speak clearly.
Through God I’m still looking up even when it seems hard. While I’m in recovery, John, David and Enid sent me a wonderful gift, a violin. I want to learn to use it so I can play for my family. I find it enjoyable to play and it helps me not focus on my inability to walk. One day though, I will walk again. THANK YOU BLUE
